Writing
Articles
Over the years, it has been my pleasure to write more than 600 feature articles published in the Tourist News, Travel Maine, Discover Maine Magazine and other publications. I enjoy the discovery of research required to write a comprehensible article and appreciate the reaction from readers who have shared their praise for my work. If you have a writing assignment, let’s discuss how my writing experience can be put to work for you.
Film Scripts
It’s was exciting to see the film I co-authored, 27 Down, produced by an independent movie company. When writing a script I take in account all the technical requirements necessary to tell a compelling story. If you need a script for feature films, advertising or promotional events, I can help.
Theater
With my professional theater experience as a writer, producer, directors, actor and back stage I know the inner workings of how to structure a stimulating plot, create convincing characters and weave a thoughtful theme. I’ve had success with dramatic stories, comedy and musicals. If you’re looking for an original theater piece, we should talk.
Television
The television series Bruce McToose, Intrepid Traveler which I producer, co-wrote and editor appeared on the Maine Public Broadcasting Network, WMTW and Community Television Network in Portland, Maine. The concept features the character Bruce McToose traveling to towns in Maine with foreign connections, like Paris, Norway, Moscow, Mexico, China and many more. In Paris, Maine Bruce looks for the iconic Eiffel Tower, in Norway, Maine he searches for the dramatic fjords. Of course he doesn’t find them, but he meets local personalities who share with him the real story of their town. It’s history, geography, legends and fun. It’s like Benny Hill meets National Geographic. If you’d like to hear more about the potential of this series, contact me at steve@kennebunkartstudio.com or call 207-590-7752.
Editing
So you’ve written a memoir, novel, short story or feature. It’s well known that every great writer needs a great editor. I’ve helped writers tighten, remove clutter, add focus and liven up their writing. Let me help you refine your writing before you send it for publication.
Ghost Writing
You’ve had this wonderful idea spinning around in your head for a while, but you just can’t get it on the page or your computer screen. I’ve worked as a ghost writer and have seen my words in print. Don’t let your gift to the world vanish with time or inaction. Share your thoughts with me and I’ll help you fashion them into a marketable story.
Memoir
My memoir Rebel Without A Clue reveals some of the foolish, silly and downright outrageous events in my life. Yet, in spite of these calamities, somehow, I’ve managed to achieve some successes I look back on with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The memoir is available as an e-book for $5.99 and a paperback print version for $9.99 which you can order at Amazon.
Press Releases
The world needs to hear about the triumphs and events of your business or organization. A major way to get noticed comes with a feature in the media. An effective press release gets the attention of editors and producers who are often desperate to fill newspaper and magazine pages and radio and television air time. Share your details with me and I’ll fashion a press release into a readable format to get you the results you want.
Advertising
Brochures, product literature and blogs help generate interest in your products and services. Let me help you find your customers with well written and motivation copy that inspires your audience to take action.
